Summersongs 2 – Coutances Normandy July 2012

Coutances at dusk

Lovely to come back here and see so many friendly, familiar faces and lots of new people too. A three-day intensive course leading to a Sunday evening performance, this took a similar shape to last year’s Summersongs, the difference being that if anything, we all worked even harder and did a longer programme

Jeremy Avis’s ‘Dormer'(corrected to Dors bien) went down a storm and sounded great. The acoustics of the seminary chapel where we worked each day(and where we gave the performance) are stunning – not too ‘swimmy’, not over-bright but warm and even.

We’re very much looking forward to seeing everyone again – à bientôt!
